Kumbhalgarh:- It is 33 KM from Ranakpur. You can hire a taxi or use your own vehicle for Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh. The minimum time taken by a cab from Ranakpur is approx 1 hr.

Cradled in a cluster of thirteen mountain peaks of the Aravali range stands. The Kumbhalgarh Fort located just 55 km away from Ranakpur, the fort is imbued with the indomitable spirit of its maker, the great Rana Kumbha who built it in the 15th century. This legendary scion of the House of Mewar was a such a military genius that of the 84 fortress defending Mewar, 32 were designed and built by him.

Kumbhalgarh being the birth place of Mewar's legendary king Maharana Pratap, is of immense sentimental significance for the people. In awesome glory stands the magnificent Kumbhalgarh Fort; its immense bastion walls and imposing with ramparts which extends to over 36 km is claimed to be the second longest in the world after the "Great Wall of China". At its widest, eight horses can run side by side.

Mammadev Temple

Mammadev Temple is located right below the Kumbhalgarh Fort and is known for its beautiful architecture and interiors. Built by Rana Kumbha in 1460, this temple boasts of intricate sculptures and is definitely one of the best places to visit in Kumbhalgarh. The temple has two cenotaphs or ‘chhatris’ in memories of famous rulers Rana Kumbh and Prithviraj Chauhan. Moreover, there were four huge blocks in the temple with inscriptions of history and heritage of the Mewar clan. But a few years ago, the pillars were transported to the Udaipur museum. There is also a huge reservoir locally called ‘kund’.

Parshuram Temple

Perched inside a cave, where Rishi Parshuram used to meditate, the Parshuram Temple is a must-see attraction during your day trip to Kumbhalgarh. Devoted to Lord Shiva, this cave temple has shrines of Lord Ganesh and nine holy kunds or ponds which never dry out. One needs to climb down approximately 500 steps to reach this amazing temple. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Sprawling over 578 sq km, encircling the fort, Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a haven for thrill and adventure. Surrounded by Aravallis, this wildlife sanctuary is home to varied flora and fauna. Initially, a hunting ground for royal families, this is one of the major tourist attractions in Kumbhalgarh. The wildlife sanctuary has exotic wildlife species like wolves, leopards, sloth bear, nilgai, deer, chinkara and jungle cat.

Other famous tourist points in Kumbhalgarh are Ganga Govrdhan Museum, Hamerpal Lake (Fish Point) and Vedi Temple etc.
